Job Posting: Content Creator/Skatepark Support Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Skatepark Attendant & Social Media Manager. This position involves overseeing the operations of our skateboard park while also managing our social media presence to engage with our community and attract new visitors.
This position entails a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, with a hybrid setup allowing for independent off-site work. While being a skateboarder, roller skater, BMXer, or scooter enthusiast is not obligatory, familiarity with the culture is beneficial. The term position starts immediately and extends until the end of August. While the primary focus is on marketing and social media, occasional assistance with sessions, events, and camps may be required.
Job Description/Duties:
- Craft and implement an effective social media strategy aimed at enhancing engagement and visibility.
- Curate compelling content, including photos, videos, infographics and posts, to showcase the skatepark and its vibrant community.
- Monitor social media channels diligently, promptly responding to comments, messages, and reviews.
- Forge partnerships with local influencers and collaborate with skatepark staff to devise promotional campaigns.
- Analyze social media metrics to fine-tune strategies for optimal performance and broader outreach.
- Stay up to date on trends in social media marketing and wheel sport culture.
- Collaborate with the team of staff and volunteers.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
- Support team as needed with sessions, events, and camps
- Offer assistance and guidance to patrons when needed.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and equipment checks.
Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to interact adeptly with a diverse range of individuals.
- Prior experience in customer service or event management is advantageous.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Youtube.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools is desirable.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Submission of a portfolio along with an instagram reel and post you have created.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 as per funding guidelines

Job Posting: Park Instructor/Ambassador
Wage: $15.30/hour
Hours: 15-30 hours/week (hours will vary week to week)
Term: July 1 - August 30
Are you passionate about skateboarding, BMX, scootering, or rollerblading? Do you love working with youth? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with youth camps
- Provide instruction and encouragement to park users
- Maintain and clean the park
- Offer excellent customer service
- Handle front desk administration
- Promote the park at community events and pop-ups
Requirements:
- Age 15-30
- Clear a Criminal and Child Security Check (we will provide the application and cover the cost)
- Availability on weekdays and weekends
- Must have a Canadian SIN
